Because Angels are Blabbermouths

I've been reading lately a few texts about secrets that God keeps. Apparently, there are some things God keeps under his heavenly hat--even from the angels themselves!

For instance:
"It was revealed to them (the Old Testament prophets) that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things." 1 Peter 1:12

Similarly:
"... and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery (that non-Jews can be part of God's Kingdom), which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 3:9

It would seem that the ultimate truth about salvation through Christ, for Jews and goyim, was a secret which God kept to himself, even refusing to tell the angels until it would become known to them through the church.

But why keep this a secret from the angels? This isn't the only secret God has kept from them, though.

About the end of all things and the return of Christ, Jesus says:
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Mark 13:32

Why keep these things a secret from the angels? My theory is that angels are blabbermouths! They love annunciation! They get such a thrill from all of that "Behold!" and "Do not be afraid!" stuff, that they just can't help spilling the beans.

This concludes today's lecture on Angelology at the Brain Lab.

Tomorrow: What are the preferred dance moves of angels whilst boogeying down on the head of a pin, and how does the choice of dance style affect the number of those who can dance on said pin head?
