Amusing, to be sure.

One of the sad features of that era is that there was so very little knowledge of, much less regard for, God's Law.

I'm thinking "Jephthah's Daughter" it might be a great name for a Christian Goth/emo band, or at least a concept album on the misguided things people do in the name of God.
