There's an old saying that there are no new jokes, just new audiences. I think the same can be said about sermons. There are no new sermons, just people who haven't heard them yet.
I was thinking the other day about the "Bible-less" people groups of the world. These are folks who don't have the Bible in their language. The count is somewhere around 2,400 groups. That's a huge number! Most, if not all, of those folks have no Bible in their tongue because they have no alphabet and written language.
Now... think of all the awful sermons you've endured over the years. Why are you thinking of my sermons, all of the sudden? Consider how lucky these Bible-less peoples are never to have heard any of those crummy sermons!
Now... remember all of the great sermons you've heard, or preached... Hm, none of mine are turning up in your mind? Oh well. Once a group of people get Scripture in their language, there are all these great sermons that--while you may have heard them more than once--they have never heard, and are surely waiting to hear them!
It's a win-win situation!
