I've seen Bible action figures, Bible character figurines, and even angel vs demon comic books, but this really got me amused!
Israelite army men! They're about 2 inches tall. Note the sling-wielding "hero" figure in the foreground.
And, as with all army men sets, you need an enemy army, so... Philistine army men!
Naturally, if the Israelite army men get a sling wielding "hero," then the Philistines (who look quite Assyrian, if you ask me) get a Goliathan "giant."
I'm guessing this is supposed to be a more Bible-based alternative to the "just plain violent" play that you would get with typical army guys, or--God-forbid--cowboys & Indians.
Actually, I'm thinking of getting a set of each, and building some scale cities to match. Imagine reinacting the siege of Jericho, Jerusalem, Ai, or Babylon! For educational purposes, of course...

Way to pick up the slack in KK's absence.
I'm counting on you.

Thanks man!
Clever! I'll make the changes.
I think they are cool. I played with army men and cowboys and Indians when I was a kid. Its better than being confused about where I need to go pee and what type of make up I'm not going to wear because I'm a man. There are way worse toys out there to make fun of no matter how stupid or unnecessary they are. How about making fun of porn figurines? That's just one example of useless material that could fall into the hands of children. Small plastic soldiers have never been the cause of violence and of killing in any decade. Choosing anything Christian in nature to make fun of or bash is the easy worldly way out always. The only thing great on this whole write up is the pictures that were taken... being the Hebrew and Philistine armies.
