I had dinner with a local priest last night, a former coworker of a mutual acquaintance.
Here's the fun factoid from that conversation:
The just-recently-replaced bishop of Springfield, IL was a fellow named (I kid you not) George Lucas.
Father House was ordained by this bishop on the 25th anniversary of "Star Wars"!
How many people can say that?

Okay, it is not quite as cool as the 25th Anniversary thing, but...
Last summer, Bishop George Lucas was installed to be Archbishop George Lucas of the Archdiocese of Omaha. (The Pope tells you to go - you go.) My father happens to be a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese. Therefore, I can legitimately say that my dad has sworn obedience to George Lucas. Raises a few eyebrows in conversations.
[collapsing in a paroxysm of laughter]
Yes, this was a riot when first announced, Allen....think of all the fun that could be had.
Poor man earns his humility quotient every day with that name!
