Last Day of July

Oh there's no place like home for the holidays,
For no matter how far away you roam,
If you want to be happy in a million ways,
For the holidays, there's just no place like home.
Blasted song has been stuck in my head all weekend, so I decided to share. This is what comes of buying a Christmas CD on sale in July, and then listening to it! As the comic strip character Cathy once said, "Aaack!"

Saw "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" this weekend. Fun, if a bit long and over the top. Not a movie for young children. Saw a few young'uns who found parts of the film decidedly frightening.

Started in on Isaiah at Cornland CC yesterday. We haven't heard from the prophets in awhile. The challenge will probably be to avoid Christmas-/ Lent-related sermons, since so much of Isaiah is messianic.

Sending out my resume to Springfield Christian School this morning for possible substitute teaching.

There's a sequel out now to Dinner With a Perfect Stranger. This time, it's the guy's wife, but that's all I really know about it.
