A recent church sign at Cornland CC was my sermon title a few weeks ago, when I talked about Jesus' post-resurrection appearance to the two travellers on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13ff.) The idea came from their statement in vs 32: "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" The sign read:
HOLY
HEARTBURN
BATMAN!
Is it my fault that it was also the day of our church potluck?
